Minnesota football conference kicks out football powerhouse
D3 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) member schools have voted to involuntarily remove St Thomas from their conference. The Tommies are 118-19 the last 11 years.
Last year, The Tommies beat conference opponents by an average score of 45-12. The previous season, St Thomas beat St Olaf 97-0.
The core issue is that St. Thomas is three times the size of the other schools in the conference.
Interesting that a conference would kick out its premier program.
